Handmade, Ethical Horsehair Paintbrushes
Each paintbrush is about medium in size with a narrow tip. Watercolor paintbrushes are made from finer horse hair and acrylic/oil paintbrushes are made from coarser horse hair.
Note: All paintbrushes are made by hand from real horsehair. Therefore, they will be perfectly imperfect.
Each order comes with a regular and fine paintbrush (2 paintbrushes). Choose between watercolor and acrylic/oil paintbrushes. Watercolor paintbrushes are made from finer horse hair and acrylic/oil paintbrushes are made from coarser horse hair.

Choose between a single medium-sized paintbrush OR a paintbrush set which includes 1 medium-sized paintbrush and 1 fine paintbrush. For custom orders we have a minimum quantity of 3. Watercolor paintbrushes are made from finer horse hair and acrylic/oil paintbrushes are made from coarser horse hair.

Our Mission
Our passion is to inspire you on your creative journey while you paint it forward. The Paint with Purpose mission is to give retired racehorses a second chance after their racing career is over (whether due to age, injury, or just because they don’t want to race). Whether they grow to become a therapy horse, a 3-day eventer, or simply a companion, our goal is to give as many retired racehorses a second chance.
